Type & Size:
Anavy pads are soft and comfy to wear, just the right shape, slim but absorbent. They are a healthy alternative for you and the environment. And not to forget to mention they are beautiful and you will enjoy choosing which one you are going to use! Although they need to be washed and dried, most girls have enough pads to last right through, that's not generally an issue for them.
Anavy menstrual pads are available in three types:
* breathable (panty liners)
* no leak with a polyurethane sheet (day pads, night pads, panty liners - panty liners have cotton with polyurethane sheet while day and night pads polyester with PUL)
* no leak with a polyester fleece outer layer (day pads, night pads)
and three sizes:
* panty liners/mini 21 cm
* day 23 cm
* night 27 cm
Prints and colors may vary. Some models are only available in limited quantities and there is no guarantee that they will be available ever again in the future. In the case of very rare models, it will affect the price.
How do I start?:
A good number to start with is 2 Mini pads, 4 Day pads, and 2 Night pads.
Why should I choose organic cotton washable postpartum/menstrual pads over disposables
Various chemicals, including dioxin, have been found in almost every major brand of menstrual pads and tampons available. Dioxin is a known carcinogen and even low levels of exposure have been linked to cervical and breast cancer, endometriosis, and immune system suppression. If dioxin isn't enough to give you pause, pesticides used in cotton cultivation are showing up in disposable pads and tampons too and have been linked to birth defects, infertility, breast cancer, sterility, and respiratory problems. Also, the plastic and glue backing on disposable pads reduces air circulation and creates a stagnant environment in which some bacteria thrive, causing vaginal irritation and yeast infections.
